Terms of Service – PixelChess

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of PixelChess, published by Just Luck LLC (“we”, “us”). By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use PixelChess.

1. The service

PixelChess is a mobile chess game with pixel-art themes, AI opponents, daily puzzles, optional accounts, in-app purchases, and advertising (unless you have an ad-free entitlement). The app is provided for personal, non-commercial entertainment.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the app. If you are under the age of majority, you should use PixelChess with parental permission.

3. Accounts

• You may play as a guest or create/link an account (email, Google, or Apple).
• You are responsible for activity on your account and keeping credentials secure.
• You may delete your account at any time from in-app Settings.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where law permits.
• Use bots, automation, or cheats to manipulate gameplay or purchases.
• Interfere with servers, security, or other users’ experience.
• Use the app for unlawful purposes or to infringe third-party rights.

5. Intellectual property

PixelChess software, pixel art, audio, trademarks, and content are owned by Just Luck LLC or licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal entertainment. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

6. In-app purchases

• Prices are shown in your app store’s currency.
• Payments are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play and managed via RevenueCat where applicable.
• Digital purchases are generally non-refundable except as required by store policies or applicable law.
• You may restore purchases from in-app Settings when available.
• Deleting your account does not automatically entitle you to refunds.

7. Advertising

The app may display ads through Unity Ads. Ad-free entitlements, when purchased, reduce or remove certain ad formats as described in the app at the time of purchase.

8. Disclaimer

PixelChess is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Just Luck LLC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the app.

10. Changes

We may modify these Terms or the app at any time. Continued use after material changes constitutes acceptance. The effective date above will be updated when changes are published.

11. Governing law

These Terms are interpreted according to applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction, without limiting mandatory rights you may have as a consumer.
