Delete your PixelChess account

This page explains how users of PixelChess can request deletion of their account and associated personal data. You can delete your account yourself in the app (recommended) or contact us by email.

Option 1 — Delete in the app (recommended)

1. Open PixelChess and sign in with your registered account (email/password, Google, or Apple). Guest mode cannot be deleted this way; see below.
2. Go to Settings (gear icon).
3. Open Privacy & Legal.
4. Tap Delete my account.
5. Read the warnings, then type DELETE (or ELIMINAR in Spanish) to confirm.
6. If prompted, sign in again (email password, Google, or Apple) to verify your identity.
7. Confirm deletion. You will be signed out and returned to the login screen.

Option 2 — Request by email

If you cannot access the app, email [email protected] from the address linked to your PixelChess account (or explain how we can verify your identity). Include:

• Subject: PixelChess account deletion request
• Platform (Android / iOS)
• Sign-in method used (email, Google, or Apple)

We will process verified requests within 30 days.

Guest accounts

If you use Play as guest, there is no registered account to delete. Sign out from Settings to end the guest session. To remove local data, uninstall the app or clear app data in your device settings.

Data deleted

When you delete a registered account, we ordinarily remove:

• Your Firebase Authentication account (user ID, email if applicable, linked sign-in providers)
• Your Firestore profile at users/{userId} (display name, photo URL, statistics, streaks, badges, unlocked themes stored in the cloud, puzzle-related profile data)
• Custom profile photo stored in Firebase Storage for that account (if you uploaded one)

Data that may be kept

Purchase / transaction records	Processed and retained by Google Play, Apple App Store, and RevenueCat under their policies. In-app purchases are not refundable when you delete your account.	Per store and payment processor rules (often several years for tax and fraud prevention)
Aggregated or anonymized analytics	Firebase Analytics may retain statistics that no longer identify you	As allowed by Google Analytics policies
Local data on your device	Game history and settings stored only on the device until you clear data or uninstall	Until you remove the app or clear storage
Support emails	If you contacted support, we may keep correspondence as needed	Up to 24 months unless law requires longer

Timing

In-app deletion is processed immediately in normal operation. Email requests are completed within 30 days after we verify your identity.
